Security Baseline (Draft) for Microsoft 365 has been provided

The Security Baseline for administrators we have known for the Microsoft Edge, or Windows 10. Now one has provided this as a pre-release version of Microsoft 365 for download.

These group policies are based on the previous Office baseline that came out in mid-2019. The highlights in this version include:

  • Limiting legacy JScript for Office execution to protect against remote code execution attacks while maintaining user productivity as core services continue to function as normal.
  • Advanced macro protection that requires application add-ins to be signed by a trusted publisher. It also turns off trust bar notifications for unsigned application add-ins and blocks them from silently turning them off without notification.
  • New guidelines for Microsoft Defender Application Guard that protect users from unsafe documents.

Anyone interested can find more information here. It can be downloaded at the bottom of the post, or directly from this link.

As a note: If you are looking for the current Microsoft 365 versions as a download, you will find it below.
