Patriot Viper VP4300, one of the fastest SSDs on the market

Patriot just released one of the fastest M.2 NVMe's on the market, achieving around 7,400MB / s sequential read speed. It is the Viper VP4300.

The Patriot Viper VP4300 has sequential read speeds of 7,400MB / s and sequential write speeds of 6,800MB / s.

NVMe SSD drives the Viper VP4300 of Patriot benefits from PCIe 4.0 connection interface that uses IG5236 driver Innogrit Rainier and 3D NAND memory module TLC to allow impressive performance.

The SSD comes in two dissipation variants. The first is a thin copper heatsink and the second is a thicker heatsink. It is not specified if one has a higher thermal performance than the other, but we imagine that the version with a thicker heatsink is better.

The fastest model is the one with a 2 TB capacity, while the 1 TB model is slower with a sequential write speed of up to 5,500 MB / s. The read speed of 7,400 MB / s remains unchanged and they also offer 800,000 IOPS.

The read speed is one of the highest on the market for NVMe SSD with PCIe 4.0 interface. We may have SSDs with even higher read and write speeds as new controllers are designed to take advantage of the PCIe 4.0 interface.
