NVMe TWSG3 SSD, from 2 TB to 3.5 GB / s with graphene heatsink

Zadak announces a new line of SSDs, the TWSG3. In M.2 format, it uses a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. Each unit comes with a heat sink.

This TWSG3 is an M.2 2280 format SSD. This number refers to its dimensions with 22mm wide and 80mm long. Its mechanics support the NVMe protocol and take advantage of the bandwidth offered by PCIe 3.0 x4. The range consists of three capacities with 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB (3D TLC memory chips).

On paper, this little world provides a throughput of up to 3.5 Gb / s in sequential reading against 3.2 Gb / s in sequential writing. We find IOPS scores of 360K in random write when handling 4K files.

Its equipment includes a heat sink using graphene to improve its cooling. The objective is to limit the triggering of any protection technology due to too high an operating temperature. According to ZADAK, this graphene heatsink improves SSD cooling performance by 15%.

The press release does not specify any tariff.
