Apple announces its new iMac with Apple M1 CPU, 85% faster compared to its predecessor Intel

Specifically, the volume is reduced by 50%, so it offers an 11.5mm thick chassis, which is as if it were an Ultrabook.

Unfortunately, nothing from the Apple M1X, so it will offer 8 cores for the CPU (4 + 4) and choose between 7 and 8 graphics cores. By having more space for cooling, and not depending on a battery, they will offer superior performance compared to laptops. According to the company, compared to its predecessor, it offers an 85% performance improvement in the CPU, and the graphics performance is doubled. The high-performance SoC is expected to arrive in a larger model in the future.

This SoC brings to life a 24-inch panel with a '4.5K' resolution of 4480 x 2250 pixels with a maximum brightness of 550 nits. Next to the screen, we have a new FaceTime webcam with a 1080p resolution that will improve its quality in video calls thanks to the neural engine 'Neural Engine' that includes the M1. In terms of connectivity, they are generous: four USB Type-C ports (up to 2x Thunderbolt), and access to an Ethernet port alongside WiFi 802.11ax + Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity.

Another surprise, that you can choose between 7 colors, the space occupied by using an Intel CPU is used to add a sound system with 6 speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The new iMac goes on sale at a starting price of 1,449 euros with 8-core CPU, 7-core GPU, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB capacity, 2x USB 4.0 / Thunderbolt ports and Magic keyboard with fingerprint reader; for 1,669 euros we have 8 graphics cores, 2x USB 3.0 + Ethernet are added and for 1,899 euros we have 512 GB of capacity.
