The iQOO Neo5 will boast a panel with 1000Hz touch sampling and super fluidity


On March 16, the launch of a new high-performance gaming phone at a reasonable price will take place in China: the iQOO Neo5. This device will be one of those that will make use of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 870 chipset. Before the presentation, certain key features of the Neo5 have been promoted through teasers. The latest teaser gives us details of the high-quality screen that the phone will enjoy.

The official poster confirms that the display of the iQOO Neo5 features a perforated design, with the hole positioned in the top center position. The lower frame of the terminal seems to be a bit thick, making it clear that it will target an “ affordable high-end ” segment. iQOO has confirmed that the phone is equipped with a Samsung AMOLED E3 panel.

Previous reports have revealed that the iQOO Neo5's screen is integrated with a fingerprint reader and that it has a separate chip that allows it to offer a smoother experience while consuming less power.

Dedicated image enhancement chip

Now, it is officially revealed that the dedicated chip in question can perform “ frame-by-frame color analysis ” of the content being displayed on the screen, enhance SDR images to an HDR level, and deliver overall improved image quality. To ensure an accurate viewing experience, the company conducts a careful color calibration and consistency calibration process on each panel.


120Hz refresh rate and 1000Hz touch sampling

In the official teaser, it is mentioned that the screen of the iQOO Neo5 offers a high refresh rate of 120Hz. You also have an impressive instant touch sampling rate of up to 1000Hz. In addition, it will support a maximum brightness of 1300nits, a contrast ratio of 6,000,000: 1 and support for the HDR10 + standard. iQOO has not yet confirmed the screen size of the Neo5.

Other details leaked

Recent reports revealed to us that the iQOO Neo5 has a 6.61-inch screen with Full HD + resolution. The Snapdragon 870 chipset will be assisted by UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. It will be powered by a 4,400 mAh battery with 66W fast charge support.

For photography, its triple camera system would be composed of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX589 main sensor (with OIS), a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Finally, your front camera would be a  16 megapixel sensor
