Microsoft Edge 90.0.818.8 - First version 90 in the beta channel

Because of "later this week". In addition to the new version 91 in the dev channel, the beta has also been pushed into the new version 90. This will then come to the stable in mid-April.

The changes from the 90s Dev have been adopted here. For example, you can now reduce the width of the vertical tabs. Improvements in PDF viewing and editing have been added.

Other changes

  • Single Sign-On (SSO) is now available for Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) accounts and Microsoft accounts (MSA) on macOS.
  • New print screening mode for non-PostScript printers. Starting with Microsoft Edge version 90, admins can use a new policy to define the print raster mode for their users. This policy controls how Microsoft Edge prints to non-PostScript printers on Windows. Sometimes print jobs on non-PostScript printers need to be rasterized in order to print correctly.
  • Additional options for page scaling when printing. Users can now adjust the scaling when printing web pages and PDF documents with additional options: The "Fit to page" option ensures that the web page or document is fitted into the available space of the selected "paper size" for printing. The "Actual size" option ensures that the size of the content to be printed is not changed regardless of the "Paper size" selected.
  • The autofill suggestions have been extended to include address field content from the clipboard.
  • You can access downloads via a flyout in the menu bar.
  • Font rendering improvements. Starting with Microsoft Edge version 90, we've made improvements to the way text is displayed to improve clarity and reduce blurring. Some of the font rendering improvements will land in beta version 90 but are disabled by default.
  • New guidelines have been added and two obsolete ones have been removed.
