Microsoft to keep its promise and add Final Fantasy missing pieces to Xbox Game Pass

In November 2019, during the X019 event, Microsoft announced that it would add ten Final Fantasy franchises to Xbox Game Pass. This was supposed to happen before the end of 2020, but only four games were added to the service.

What's available at the moment:

  • Final fantasy vii
  • Final Fantasy VIII Remastered
  • Final Fantasy IX
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades

In an interview with TrueAchievements, a company spokesman said that plans have not changed. Microsoft still intends to add the Final Fantasy portions promised in 2019 to Game Pass.

What will be added:

  • Final Fantasy X: HD Remastered
  • Final Fantasy X-2: HD Remastered
  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
  • Final fantasy xiii
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2
  • Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

The reasons for the delay were not named, but it can be assumed that the case is in a pandemic, which affected absolutely everything, including the operation of services and game development. The exact dates of the additions of the remaining parts of the series are unknown.
