Hitman 3 devs working on ray tracing for Xbox Series S | X and PC

IO Interactive said they are working on adding ray tracing to Hitman 3 on Xbox Series S | X and PC.

The developers have previously talked about plans to add tracing to the PC in one of the updates after the release of the game. But a new post on the Xbox blog says that tracing will appear on the latest generation of Xbox too.

IO Interactive CTO Maurizio de Pascal said:

It's great that the GPU in Series X | S has hardware ray tracing support. We have already started working on the implementation of the technology on our Glacier engine. As soon as it works satisfactorily, we will release an update for Series X | S.

It is not yet known in which modes the best tracing will appear - perhaps the developers will release a mode with 30 frames in the same resolution, but with tracing.

Since the post was published on the Xbox blog, it is expected that it did not mention tracing on the PS5. But for sure it will appear on the Sony console.
