Benefits of eating curd - Many benefits of eating and applying curd have been explained in Ayurveda.  Also know how to eat curd and how to make it.  Yogurt has been used in human food for the last 4,500 years.

There are many benefits of curd in Ayurveda.  Yogurt enhances immunity and strength in the body.  Yogurt increases the digestive power of the stomach, sexual power.  Yogurt balances flatulence in the body and relieves weakness.

According to Ayurveda, curd made from cow’s milk is fortifying, soft, nutritious, digestive and expectorant.  Yogurt made from buffalo milk is blood, bile, ejaculatory, greasy, expectorant and heavy.  Buttermilk is soft, light, appetizing, aerating and prevents diarrhea.

Yogurt contains protein, calcium, vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin D, zinc, magnesium, selenium, riboflavin.


Yogurt is an excellent conditioner for hair.  Apply yoghurt to the hair from the root and leave it for 15-20 minutes, then wash the hair.  This remedy removes dandruff, roughness of hair and makes hair shiny and soft.
