What is Mukhyamantri Amritam Yojana?  How to get the benefit of this plan? 

Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana The Government of Gujarat on September 4, 2012 implemented a new scheme Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana.  Under the scheme, health coverage of up to Rs. 2 lakhs is provided to BPL families.  Under the scheme, BPL families are given health coverage of up to Rs. 2 lakh per family for treatment of serious illnesses.  The scheme was initially implemented only for BPL families but later all the families whose annual income is less than 2.5 lakh were included in the scheme. 
 
Under Mukhyamantri Amritam Yojana, patients will be treated free of cost by the hospitals included in the scheme.  After the treatment, the hospital bill will be paid by the Gujarat government.  This plan is completely cashless.  Patients will not have to pay anything in the hospital and the government will not pay the patients directly, but the government will pay the patient's treatment bill directly to the hospital under the scheme.  Rigging in this scheme is not possible as the scheme is completely cashless.  Only real beneficiaries can avail the benefits of this scheme
