Microsoft has released a new preview version of the Windows Terminal as 1.8 (1.8.1032.0) for download. The stable version has now also been upgraded to 1.7 (1.7.1033.0).
The stable now also has the UI for the settings that the preview already had. Otherwise, a lot of new functions have been integrated, bugs fixed and more in the preview. That would really go beyond the scope here. So this time I'll just link it.
If you have already installed the terminal, you will get the update directly from the Microsoft Store.
