FRITZ! Box 6591 and 6660 Cable also with another update

In addition to the FRITZ! Box 7530 AX, AVM has now added a laboratory update for the FRITZ! Box 6591 and 6660 Cable. So that you have something to test on Easter days.

The FRITZ! Box 6591 Cable received the Fritz! OS 7.24-87419 and the FRITZ! Box 6660 Cable received the Fritz! OS 7.24-87420 as updates.

FRITZ! Box 6591 Cable

WLAN:

• Fixed Incorrect labeling in the legend below the graphic "Allocation of WLAN channels" on the "WLAN / radio channel" page

Telephony:

• Fixed After editing CompanyFlex Cloud PBX numbers, these numbers were no longer registered
• Fixed No display of call blocks if they contained an entry without a phone number
• Fixed Search in the phone book was possible by name, but not by phone number
• Fixed The internal fax function cannot be set up if the phone book contained an entry without a phone number
• Fixed Three-way conference over an analog telephone did not work in isolated cases

Home network:

• Improved display of network connections optimized for larger networks
• Fixed Changing settings in the device details of certain network devices generated an unsuitable error message

FRITZ! Box 6660 Cable

Wireless Internet Access:

• Fixed Incorrect labeling in the legend below the graphic "Allocation of WLAN channels" on the "WLAN / radio channel" page
• Improved interoperability against certain WLAN N devices increased

Home network:

• Improved display of network connections optimized for larger networks
• Fixed Changing settings in the device details of certain network devices generated an unsuitable error message
• Improved interoperability on LAN1 against certain 10GBase-T network cards

Telephony:

The update for the respective device comes automatically, as always, or can be downloaded from the AVM website.

How To Install On The FRITZ! Box

You have not yet used the latest FRITZ! OS for your FRITZ! Box? Then first update FRITZ! OS to the latest release version. Here's how it works.

If your FRITZ! Box is equipped with the latest FRITZ! OS, you can start installing the laboratory version.

• Read and confirm the displayed message.
• Click "Download" and save the file to your computer.
• Unzip the laboratory file (* .zip).
• Perform the update via the FRITZ! Box user interface and select "View: Advanced" in the footer.
• Select "System / Update" in the menu.
• Select the "FRITZ! OS File" tab. Save the settings of your FRITZ! Box.
• Then enter the name of the laboratory version including the path in the input field (e.g. C: \ Documents and Settings \ Username \ Desktop \ FRITZ! Box-Labor-xxxx.image).
• Click on "Start Update".
• Follow the instructions on the screen.

The "Info" LED on your FRITZ! Box flashes during the update process. This disappears when the update process is complete. Please be patient, this process may take a few minutes. As soon as the update is complete, the FRITZ! Box is restarted and is then ready for operation again.
