Date confirmed for Microsoft Build Conference 2021 - that's expected

There is new information about the conferences planned by Microsoft in 2021. The next date should be the build from May 25th to 27th, 2021 - this date was announced in advance and has now been officially confirmed. The date for the Inspire has also been set.

This emerges from information that has now been published on Microsoft's website. Possible dates for the Microsoft Build have been leaked a few times in the last few weeks. Most recently, the well-known Leaker WalkingCat had named a date in May, which has now also been confirmed. The Microsoft Build, the big annual developer conference, will be held again this year as a virtual event, from May 25th to 27th, 2021. Microsoft has a real announcement or invitations for the two dates for the two conference dates not yet published. However, the date is mentioned on the official Microsoft website. Across from Mary Jo Foley from ZDNet, A group spokesman has at least confirmed the date for Build 2021.

The date for the Inspire can now also be found: Microsoft invites partners to take part on July 14th and 15th, 2021. The date for the MS Ignite, however, is not yet known.

Free access

Last year the build took place from May 19-21, 2020. Initially, it was planned to hold it as a face-to-face conference in Seattle, as before, but due to the global pandemic, Microsoft decided to organize an online event instead. That was also very well received - it certainly played a major role that access to the online build was free, which saved around $ 2,000 for the conference ticket plus travel expenses.

Topics not yet leaked

Build 2021 should be peppered with trend-setting announcements this year. Because it is expected that there will be new insights into working with the upcoming Windows 10X at the build. Although the conference is designed for developers, it is precisely these announcements relating to Windows that should also be of interest to end-users. However, there is no information on the agenda yet, and the motto of Build 2021 is not yet known.

As in every year, the group will of course give an outlook on everything Microsoft has in planning and start an exchange with developers from all over the world. On the special page for the Build Conference, Microsoft has put some of the 2020 sessions online so that selected videos can now be viewed again.
