Apple M1X will give life to two iMac of 23 and 31.5″, will integrate a 16-core GPU

New rumors are pouring in about the first Apple desktops with Apple Silicon processors. This information reveals that the first iMac with an Apple Silicon processor will be available in two sizes of 23 and 31.5 inches, while at the hardware level, it is again indicated that it is a vitaminized Apple M1, for now, known as Apple M1X, And this implies going from the already seen 8-core configuration to 12.

The most interesting thing is that the number of GPU cores will also be increased, indicating that the number will double from 8 to 16 cores. Remember that in optimized games, the current 8-core GPU is even capable of outperforming an Intel Iris Xe.

This processor would reach a frequency of 3.20 GHz, although these new reports did not talk about the configuration of its cores, that is, how many of those 12 cores are high-performance cores (Firestorm) and how many of them are low power consumption (Thunder).

According to the latest rumors we had, we would be talking about 8x Firestorm @ 3.20 GHz + 4x Thunder, which would imply a generous performance jump, although one of the biggest performance leaps will be in the graphics. The hardware change will also involve a facelift in the computer's cooling system.

Regarding the launch date, these iMac could be announced next May or June, which would be accompanied by a new backlit keyboard and a redesigned mouse.
