Windows focus as desktop background is in Windows 10 21337

As soon as the new Insider is out, there is already something that Albacore has discovered in the new version. The Windows Spotlight collection can be found under Settings => Personalization => Background.

If you like the Bing images, you can now display them on the desktop. A button like the one on the lock screen then appears at the bottom right. There you can have the information about the background image or the location displayed in the browser with one click.

The function itself was already in Windows 10 20231, which was released in October 2020. Perhaps it is now ready to the point that we can actually get it.

The new entry does not appear for me yet. If you have already installed Windows 10 21337, then just have a look. This insider seems to be very interesting again. Let's see what's coming.

Addendum: If you want to activate Windows Blickpunkt as your desktop background, proceed like this.

  • Download and unzip ViVeTool
  • In the folder above, start the File => PowerShell => PowerShell (administrator) tab
  • Enter cmd Enter
  • ViveTool.exe addconfig 26008405 2 and press Enter.
  • If you also want to use the device under personalization, then additionally
  • Vivetool.exe addconfig 25810627 2 Press Enter.

A restart is not necessary. The entries appear immediately under Personalization. Thanks to Alex for the hint.
