The Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro series of phones were unveiled in China in December 2020. These devices boasted a number of top-notch features, such as the debut of the Exynos 1080 chipset and high-quality photography. Later, reports suggested that global variants would trade their hardware for a Snapdragon 870. Now, this has been confirmed, along with the official filing date.
The revelation has come from Vivo Malaysia. As revealed through their social networks, the Vivo X60 series of phones will have its international launch on March 22. The company also confirmed that it will be equipped with Qualcomm's SD870 chipset.

In addition to the aforementioned Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro, the company had also presented in China a model intended for the most premium segment under the name of Vivo X60 Pro +. This model offers even more powerful cameras and benefits from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 chipset. At the moment, it is not clear if on March 22 we will also have the global launch of this phone.
The home page of the device series on the Vivo Malaysia website highlights that they will feature powerful photography capabilities. We will find camera functions such as Gimbal Stabilization 2.0 and Extreme NightVision 2.0.
The global versions of the Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro are likely to differ only in the chipset department compared to their Chinese counterparts. Now that we are only a couple of weeks away from the official launch, Vivo is expected to start promoting the features of its future flagship phone series in the coming days.
Photographic differences
The main difference between the X60 and the X60 Pro is in their cameras section. The standard model has a triple camera system with 48 megapixel sensors (main, OIS) + 13 megapixels (portrait, 2x optical zoom) + 13 megapixels (wide angle). The Pro variant has a quad camera system with sensors of 50 megapixels (main, OIS) + 8 megapixels (periscope, 5x optical zoom) + 13 megapixels (portrait, 2x optical zoom) + 13 megapixels (wide angle).
