Samsung will deliver its mobile devices in Ireland by means of a drone

Samsung announced that it has partnered with the company Manna Drone Delivery to start an optional delivery system in Ireland where the customer can buy various products in the manufacturer's official store and that minutes later, a drone approaches their home to make the delivery.

Products eligible for drone delivery are the Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone, Galaxy Buds Pro headphones, Galaxy Tab S7 tablet, Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch, and Galaxy A series terminals. In addition, orders must be placed through from Samsung's Irish website, and the option is only available to customers based in a city called Oranmore, at the moment.

Manna Drone Delivery uses custom aerospace-grade drones that can fly at an altitude of between 58 and 80 meters and at speeds in excess of 60 km / h. The company says that's fast enough for a drone to arrive at Oranmore customers' homes in three minutes after leaving the shipping center. Manna has worked with Tesco and other local businesses to deliver food, books and medicine to local people. Its drones will facilitate a similar end-to-end experience for Samsung customers.

After a reasonable period of time, it is to be expected that in the future the whole country will take advantage of this advantage

"Superior customer experience is at the heart of what we do and with this new service we are embracing what we believe will be the future of retail," said Eamonn Grant, Head of Online, Samsung Ireland. "In today's environment, there is no better time to offer a contactless alternative to click and collect and we are truly delighted to partner with Manna to achieve this."
