Samsung Unpacked event schedule to present Galaxy A52 and A72

Samsung finally has a date for the launch of the Galaxy A52 and A72: March 17. The company has scheduled a live broadcast for the date in question over the past weekend, and although it has already removed the video from the list, it did not do it in time to prevent screenshots from being recorded.

The FrontTron profile played the image on Twitter, and in it, we can see the date and time of the next Galaxy Unpacked. The event is scheduled for 10:30 am (Brasília time), but it is still unclear if it is global or if the 17th is only for the South Korean market. Confirmation should be made soon, with invitations to the press.

What to expect from the Galaxy A52

Samsung is expected to launch 4G and 5G variants for the Galaxy A52, as it did with the A51 and A71, last year, and the A32, this year. The new intermediate model from South Korea should have a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a centralized hole for the front camera and a refresh rate of 90 Hz in the LTE variant and 120 Hz in the 5G, according to recent rumors. The fingerprint reader will possibly be under the screen, as in the previous two models in the line.

There is also a difference in the hardware of each variant. The most affordable version of the Galaxy A52 should have the Snapdragon 720G, with options of 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. The 5G variant, on the other hand, should have the Snapdragon 750G, compatible with the new generation of mobile broadband.

In common, both should have Android 11 installed at the factory and a quadruple camera set, with a 64 MP main with optical stabilization, plus 12 MP, 5 MP and 5 MP ultrawide, macro and depth sensors, respectively. At the front, selfies can have a 32 MP sensor.

In addition to optical stabilization, which returns to a device the Galaxy line after a few years, another feature that can return is protection against water and dust, certified IP67 in Galaxy A52, which should still have a battery of 4500 mAh that supports charging 25 W power, micro SD card slot for expanding storage, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and USB type C and P2 connectors.

What to expect from the Galaxy A72

The larger model should only have a different screen and battery, with 6.7 inches and 5,000 mAh, repeating the other specifications of the Galaxy A52, including 4G and 5G versions. If this is confirmed, Samsung raises the smaller category model, in a way, and starts offering models with different sizes to give a similar option, as if it were a base variant and a Plus variant.
