Mushkin Gamma and Delta: PCIe 4.0 SSDs with read speeds of up to 7175MB / s

Mushkin announced the launch of two new M.2 NVMe SSDs with PCI-Express 4.0 interface, its new top-of-the-range model called Gamma, and another more affordable one that goes by the name Delta.

The Mushkin Gamma SSDs make use of the Phison E18 controller together with 3D QLC NAND Flash memory chips to achieve capacities of 1, 2 and 4 TB with sequential speeds of up to 7175 MB / s for reading and up to 6800 MB / s for writing, while 4K random speed is up to 640,000 read IOPS and up to 630,000 write IOPS.

Family SSDs Mushkin Delta used the first generation of controllers Phison E16, limiting the reading speed to a maximum of up to 4975 MB / s with a deed of up to 3975 MB / s with a sequential speeds 4K read and write up to 700,000 / 650,000 IOPS.

The Mushkin Gamma SSDs come at a price of $ 259 (1TB) and $ 499 (2TB), while the Mushkin Delta do so at a price of $ 159 (1TB), $ 299 (2TB) and $ 599 (4TB). Both families are backed by a 5-year warranty and do not include a heatsink, just a sticker, something that should not be a problem knowing that most current motherboards already integrate at least one heatsink for M.2 SSDs.
