The printer problems caused by the March update not only hit Windows 10 but also Windows 7 and 8.1. In Windows 10, it was fixed by the individual updates. Updates have also been made available for Windows 7 (KB5001639) and 8.1 (KB5001640).
The updates themselves were created on March 18th, 21st and have been available in the update catalog since yesterday. Under Windows 7 it was released as an ESU update (Extended Security Update). An ESU patch may be necessary here. Windows 8.1 users can install this update as normal, as support will continue until 2023.
