Joe Manganiello on Deathstroke: I wasted six months of my life on something that was canceled

To the surprise of fans, Deathstroke, played by Joe Manganiello, appeared twice in Zach Snyder's Justice League. First on Lex Luthor's yacht, on which the villain revealed the identity of Batman to the mercenary, and then in Bruce's dream about a world in which Superman became a villain and is controlled by Darkseid.

It turned out that the actor had to play Deathstroke more than once. There were supposed to be a lot of pictures with him: the mercenary was planned in "Batman" by Ben Affleck, "Deathstroke", "Justice League 2", "Suicide Squad 2" and the movie "Deathstroke and Deadshot".

Alas, they were all canceled.

I worked for six months with Oscar-nominated screenwriter Gareth Evans on the presentation of the painting and sketches of the project. It was six months of my life that I spent on something that got canceled.

Then they changed my scene in Justice League with Lex Luthor, canceled Justice League, Suicide Squad 2, and there was talk of Deathstroke and Deadshot, which died unborn. Deathstroke was to appear in a variety of films.

Deathstroke was supposed to be the main villain of the Batman movie from Ben Affleck, as well as help him fight Darkseid and Superman in Justice League 2. Alas, this version of the DC MCU will never happen.
