Intel Xe-HPG, a special event is prepared for March 26

Intel released a cryptic message in a teaser trailer about Xe-HPG, the next-generation graphics that they have been working on for a while and that could be released this year. The anticipated date of releasing Intel Xe-HPG is March 26, 2021, the date on which a special event is planned.

The hidden message of the teaser appears to have been deciphered by duckofdeath in Wccftech, revealing an IP address (35.160.237.208) that redirects to the xehpg.intel.com site. If we enter the site we find the announcement of a special event for March 26, an event called Welcome to the Xe HPG Scavenger Hunt (Welcome to the Xe HPG treasure hunt).

Over the next few days, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger is likely to hear more about Xe-HPG, which remains a mystery in many of its features and possible graphics cards that would make use of them.

What could Intel announce? It is very difficult to know. If this means the announcement of DG2 GPUs, it is that Intel's discrete graphics cards would be closer than we thought.

Recently, Raja Koduri teased that the Xe-HPG GPU would have a similar performance to the RTX 3070, so we could get to see a demo of them at the March 26 event, but these are just speculations.

Intel is preparing to invade the graphics card market dominated, at the moment, by AMD and Nvidia, as well as revamping its entire repertoire of integrated graphics. Will we see it this year? That is the great unknown that, probably, we will solve in the event of March 26. We will keep you informed.
