How to open and use the Windows 10 Action Center

In this post, we will see where the Action Center is in Windows 10 and how to open and use the Windows 10 Action Center. The message also suggests several troubleshooting steps you can try if you find that the Windows 10 Action Center won't open or works.

The new Action & Action Center in Windows 10 Anniversary Update looks great. The Event Center is divided into two main sections - Notifications and Quick Actions and allows you to view all notifications from different applications and even the system.

Windows 10 Action Center

If you are on the latest version of Windows 10, you will find it in the far right corner of the taskbar. Click the icon to open the Action Center panel.

Here, at the top, you see notifications, but at the bottom, you see shortcuts that are in the Action Center. Most of them are actually shortcuts to commonly used settings. By selecting any of them, you will open the corresponding section of the settings.

While the Action Center comes across as a simple tool, it is very useful. It saves and saves the important notice for review at a later time. Since notifications are an important feature that defines Action Center, it is important that this feature is enabled at all times.

However, things can get annoying when you receive a flurry of notifications. If necessary, you can set the priority of notifications or disable notifications. To do this, click the Action Center icon located at the far right of the Windows taskbar.

Then click the All Settings button, select System and then, Notifications & Actions.

Toggle toggles "On" or "Off" for different application settings.

Quick Actions

In addition to notifications, Windows 10 puts Quick Actions in the Action Center. This allows you to quickly switch Tablet Mode and access other settings such as Display. To choose which Quick Actions appear at the bottom of your computer screen, click the Action Center icon and select All Settings.

Then choose System> Notifications & Actions and finally the Add or Remove Quick Actions link.

Here you can choose which Quick Actions should appear in the Action Center and when done, close the window to apply the changes.

Dismiss notifications

The clutter in the Action Center due to the display of many notifications can be largely minimized by dismissing them. To dismiss individual notifications, click the Action Center icon in the taskbar and hover over the notification you want to dismiss. Then press the X button to dismiss the notification.

Hopefully, this introduces you to Windows 10 Action Center.
