Compat2021 as a joint project for a better browser


Today Microsoft announced in a post that they are preparing a cross-browser project called Compat2021 with the aim of making browsers even better.

It's not just about Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, but also Firefox or Safari. So far, initiatives such as Web DNA (MDN Web Developer Needs Assessment) have come together to solve problems with browser compatibility, for example.

The focus of the new project is on improving the CSS Flexbox, CSS Grid, CSS position, the CSS aspect ratio property and CSS transforms. The aim of the working group is to pass the CSS grid test with 100% through improvements.
