Asus ProART B550-Creator is the first AM4 board with Thunderbolt 4

The Asus motherboard can take advantage of all the speed that a Thunderbolt 4 port can offer, superior to what current USB connections offer.

The ProART B550-Creator, with socket AM4, offers four SATA III connectors for hard drives and SSD drives, plus a pair of M.2 ports that take advantage of PCIe 4.0 x4 connections. These ports debut with new mounting systems much easier for users. The motherboard has three PCIe x16 and two PCIe x1 expansion slots.

The motherboard is more aimed at professionals and content creators, so it has the latest in connectivity. This translates to two Thunderbolt 4 ports that are present on the motherboard, as well as two 2.5-inch Gigabit Ethernet ports. The rear panel also includes a pair of USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, a combo PS / 2 connector, a DisplayPort connector, and an HDMI port.

Asus decided to include the audio codec ALC1220A from Realtek to be responsible for the sound section. The codec itself is isolated from the other components of the motherboard to avoid all kinds of interference and has an integrated amplifier and quality capacitors, which will allow us to have a very good sound system for listening and recording.

The motherboard will be available next month with a price tag of $ 299. We will keep you informed.
