Android: WebView crashes apps - Google has provided updates

Currently, apps simply crash on Android. This is due to an update of the Android System WebView app. Google has now confirmed this problem and has made updates available in the Google Play Store.

Search for the “Android System WebView” app in the Google Play Store or click on this link. The current version is 89.0.4389.105. You should also update Google Chrome. Here is the link to the app. After that, the apps should be able to open normally again and no longer crash.

So if you are affected by the problem, you should bring your apps up to date quickly.
