AMD Navi 23 with up to 2048 SP and 8GB GDDR6 to launch in April


AMD has launched the RX 6700 XT based on the Navi 22 XT chip recently, but the RX 6000 series will continue to receive new models in the coming weeks. As per the latest update AMD Navi 23 with up to 2048 SP and 8GB GDDR6 to launch in April.

AMD plans to launch graphics cards based on its Navi 23 and Navi 24 chips, which belong to the mid and low ranges. The leaker @KittyYYuko (known as KittyCorgi) has published the full specifications that the Navi 23 chip will have, in addition to anticipating a possible release date.

According to the leak, the Navi 23 GPU will offer about 32 computing units, which are 2048 SP (Stream Processors), 25% less than on the Navi 22 chip. The amount of memory would be 8 GB GDDR6 with a speed of 16 Gbps. The memory bus is 128-bit, per spec, and is revealed to have a 64MB Infinity Cache.

AMD expects the Navi23 graphics cards to offer a very good gaming experience at 1080p resolution. The red company seems to have its chips differentiated by the resolution at which they can run the games. The Navi 21 chip is designed to play 4K, Navi 22 to play 1440p and Navi 23 is designed to play 1080p.

The expected price for these graphics cards would be 2,499 CNY, which is equivalent to about $ 384. The launch could take place in April.
