Samsung releases One UI 3.1 for Galaxy S10, S20, A70, A50 and other cell phones

Novelty arrives with privacy optimization, an adjustable blue light filter, and a different interface.

Samsung's custom interface based on Android 11, One UI 3.1 arrived this week on several phones from the South Korean giant. The update ranges from intermediate devices, such as the Galaxy A50, to cutting-edge equipment, such as the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S20. For now, the update is only available for some regions, with no expected arrival in Brazil.

The models contemplated are those of the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip lines, and also older versions, such as Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10. Other phones with simpler specifications, such as Galaxy A71, A51, A90, A80, A70, and A50, also make the list.

Among the features available in One UI 3.1 are Eye Comfort Shield and Single Take. The first refers to a blue light filter emitted by the screen, which is adjusted throughout the day, in order to make viewing more comfortable, especially at night. The second feature, in turn, allows a series of photos or a video to be recorded with just one touch of the camera shutter.

The new version also includes improved data privacy for photos that are shared. In an attempt to strengthen security, Samsung has removed location data from images that are sent to other devices.

The autofocus control has been optimized in this version of One UI since it has existed since version 3.0, but now it makes it easier to adjust this tool. Brightness editing is also made easier, now with the option to change before taking the photos.

A new tool that comes with One UI 3.1 covers Galaxy Buds Pro. It can automatically switch the audio output of the device, when connecting to the headphones and reproducing the sound of any Galaxy independently, and switching between a cell phone and a tablet, for example.

Finally, an exclusive feature for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G models is the Multi Mic, which allows you to record audio with the headset and cell phone microphone at the same time - just trigger Video Pro mode.
