Huawei Mate X2 - a new foldable is expected to arrive at the end of the month

Foldable smartphones are today a new segment that still has a lot to be improved, but where there are already brands working hard. We have Samsung in a clear position of prominence, but Huawei also has its space.

After Huawei Mate X and Mate Xs, the Chinese company is expected to launch Mate X2 later this month.

It was at the end of February 2020 that Huawei introduced its second foldable smartphone to the world after the first appeared more as a way of marking territory.

Mate Xs was the first smartphone where the Falcon Wing design was implemented with more than 100 interconnected parts that work in perfect harmony to reinforce the screen while providing a perfect experience for the consumer. Developed with a liquid metal-based on zirconium, this new hinge proved to be even more resistant, allowing the screen to take a complete 180-degree turn.

Huawei Mate X2 - evolution will arrive in February

According to some rumors, Huawei is expected to maintain the launch schedule in 2021. Thus, February will then be marked by the presentation of its new foldable.

A publication on the social network Weibo says that the new Mate X2 will be announced very soon… this means that it should be at the end of the month.

There is also reference to an improved design, 5nm processor, and “impressive new technology”. Looking at these tips and what we know about the market, Mate X2 will be launched with the Kirin 9000 processor. In addition, TENAA certification reveals that it will have an 8 ″ screen.

The improved design can mean an important change. According to rumors, we may have a format closer to what is Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold2, passing the screen inside.

We will be looking forward to further developments on this new foldable.
