Gigabyte launches its liquid Aorus WATERFORCE X: Promises to support 16 cores at 4.6GHz

Gigabyte has announced its Aorus WATERFORCE X, a new series of liquid coolers that comes with great promise in terms of performance and capabilities, promising to perfectly support some of the highest performance CPUs on the market under overclocking. Let's see what the company offers us.

The new Gigabyte AORUS WATERFORCE X liquid cooling can with an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with all 16 cores at 4.6GHz

This new AiO liquid cooling comes with three different radiator sizes, 240mm, 280mm or 360mm, in addition to relevant improvements compared to previous models of the brand. Gigabyte talks about an improvement in internal liquid flow of 37%, and a 2.1 times extension in the life of the fans, thanks to its double ball bearings with a leading nanographene lubricant that reduces friction considerably, resulting in greater durability and less noise.

According to Gigabyte, the 240mm variant of the AORUS WATERFORCE X can silently support an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with all its cores at 4.6GHz in Cinebench R23, although there are no more details on that, so we will have to wait for the first independent reviews to verify it.

Jackson Hsu, responsible for R&D and product development of the company, made a statement regarding this new launch:

“Following the praise of the previous generation AiO cooling, the AORUS WATERFORCE X series maintains the remarkable unique design with lots of improvements in response to user feedback. In addition to the high durability, high performance and high compatibility, the AORUS WATERFORCE X series allow users full control of their system health while creating a stylish and personal environment with exceptional AiO liquid cooling."

An interesting novelty of these liquid refrigerations is in their customization, thanks to the LCD screen that it equips in the pump, and that we can use to monitor the status and temperatures of the equipment or to reproduce personalized content. In fact, it is compatible with the MP4, GIF and JPG format, in addition to incorporating a microSD card slot in case we want to load the content of the size we want to liquid cooling, without the limitations of its internal memory. We can also control ARGB LEDs for a great customization experience.

Of course, these customization capabilities go beyond what we usually find in the liquid refrigeration market, and will attract a good number of users interested in aesthetics, in addition to the functionality that allows us to have such a screen.

The Gigabyte AORUS WATERFORCE X has already been released, so it is predictable that it will start to increase its availability in stores progressively from now on.
