Abandoning the GPU upgrade and going to the console? The first half is an era of gamer suffering

Should I buy a console rather than change the graphics card? It's too hard to get a new graphics card at an affordable price.

There is a debate among PC gamers. However, choosing a console as an alternative to a PC is an alternative. At least, even more so if the current supply of parts is the same.

If you're the owner of a graphics card that's too old or too poor to play a new masterpiece game, you might want to buy a game console. Especially if you live in an area where the internet speed is slow or intermittently cut off, you are satisfied with the exclusive work of Microsoft or Sony, and it doesn't matter if the game ecosystem changes completely. You may have to pay a separate fee for online access.

If you're looking to enter the console at the cheapest price, the Xbox Series S is the most recommended for $300. You can also purchase Xbox Game Pass, a paid plan like Netflix, and choose a game that suits your taste. The Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, which was released for $400, is a good match. The graphics quality is also slightly better.

However, it is not easy to get the latest consoles recently. The supply and demand situation is not as good as the RTX 30 series or Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, so you need to watch whether the product is in stock. For most PC gamers, game streaming services like GeForce Now can be a viable alternative. This is a way to increase the burden of PC specifications while playing games that have already been purchased through NVIDIA servers. The biggest advantage is that it can be enjoyed on low-cost PCs such as Chromebooks or old Windows PCs. However, GeForce Now also has a limitation that it must be able to guarantee super-fast download speeds of at least 15Mbps and that it must be connected with 5GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.

If neither the console nor the GeForce Now is suitable, now is not the time to replace the graphics card. At least, it is expected that the tension in the supply shortage of graphics cards will not be relieved until late spring or summer. This is a painful time for PC gamers.
