Xiaomi is preparing RedmiBook Pro 15S laptops on AMD Ryzen 5000 processors

Yesterday it became known that Xiaomi is planning to release RedmiBook Pro laptops on the new Intel Tiger Lake-H processors. Today in the Geekbench benchmark appeared the results of testing two versions of laptops on Intel and AMD processors.

Based on the test results that appeared in the Geekbench database, the company is preparing to release two whole laptops - RedmiBook Pro 15 and RedmiBook Pro 15S. Moreover, each of them will have two more configurations.

The younger model RedmiBook Pro 15S will be equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor and 8 GB of RAM. The older one will run on an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and have 16 GB of RAM. What's interesting is that in single-core testing, the younger model AMD Ryzen 5 5600H scores more points (1322 against 1197), while in the multi-core test the leader is AMD Ryzen 7 5800H (6865 against 5793).

In addition, the benchmark also includes the test results of the RedmiBook Pro 15 on Intel Core i5-11300H and Intel Core i7 11370H processors. In the synthetic test, they turned out to be weaker than the versions based on AMD chips.

It is likely that laptops will be unveiled during MWC 2021 in Shanghai, which will be held from 23 to 25 February.
