The Sinking City Returns To Steam, But Litigation Continues Between Publisher And Studio

In the process of litigation between the Ukrainian studio Frogwares and the Nacon company, The Sinking City unexpectedly returned to Steam. The game disappeared from sale during the conflict between the developers and the publisher.

Apparently, the game was returned to the market after a Paris court ruling indicated that Frogwares illegally tried to break the contract with Nacon and at the same time closed the sale of the title.

The court ruled that Frogwares had terminated the contract in a manifestly unlawful manner and, as a result, ordered, as a precautionary measure, to renew the contract until it expired or until a decision was made to violate that contract.

The court also ordered Frogwares Ireland to refrain from any action that violates this contract or prevents its renewal.

Nacon asked to return The Sinking City to digital services so that no one becomes hostage to this situation. Now the game can be purchased on Steam and  Microsoft Store  ($ 60). Prior to that, the title was available on Origin and eShop.
