The lost remake of Tomb Raider appeared on the network

Back in 2006, Core Design worked on a remake of the original Tomb Raider for the PSP. It was nearly finished but was canceled in favor of a cross-platform remake from Crystal Dynamics that was released in 2007 called Tomb Raider: Anniversary.

Then the game assets were redone for the title about Indiana Jones, who also never saw the light of day. Core Design closed in 2010, and the lost remake has become a lost ark for fans of the franchise. It seems that after 14 years from the beginning of development, the game was found.

Someone Tomb_of_ash posted assets of these two games on the Internet Archive. The game requires a patch, Visual Studio, and a gamepad. Several locations can be explored in the title. The instruction is here.

There are no enemies in the title, but you can just explore the levels in Peru and Greece, as well as Lara's estate.

The latest Tomb Raider game, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, was released on September 12, 2018, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
