The iPhone 13 Pro would have up to 1TB of storage

In September last year, Apple recently launched its new flagship iPhone 12 series. This family of mobile products is the first from the company to come with support for 5G networks. Since its release, the line of devices has been so successful that the company managed to break its records, shipping around 90 million units of iPhones during the fourth quarter of 2020.

Although we are many months away from the launch of the iPhone 13 line, Apple is already in the process of developing the successors of its current series. In fact, some details of the future iPhone 13 have been circulating on the internet since last year. Now, the most recent reports offer us clues about an improvement in your storage capacity.

Up to 1TB of storage on future iPhone 13 Pro

According to the latest report, Apple would launch a storage variant with up to 1TB of capacity for the future iPhone 13 Pro by the end of this year 2021. This improvement will result in double the maximum storage capacity currently offered in the line. of iPhone 12 terminals.

The Apple iPhone XS was the first phone from the Cupertino-based giant to come with an internal storage capacity of up to 512GB. Since that time, the company has not added more options with higher storage capacity in its successors (the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 series).

Only for Pro variants

Something important to note is that only the Pro models could have the 1TB storage capacity. It has also not been confirmed whether the company plans to increase the storage capacity available on base models. Recall that, in the base iPhone 12, at least 128GB of storage capacity is finally offered when in the previous generation they still offered a variant with 64GB.

Based on what we've seen through previous reports, the next models in the iPhone 13 family will come with a smaller notch at the top of the screen. It is also rumored that the company will include for the first time a fingerprint reader built into the OLED screen of the future iPhone 13. In addition, it is expected to include support for connectivity Wi-Fi 6E.

For the moment, we can only wait for more leaks to confirm this information or add more details to what we already know today. Considering that they would be released in September this year, there is still a lot of waiting ahead.
