Signia launches machine learning-based hearing aid control app 'Signia Assistant'

Signia (formerly Siemens Hearing Aid) has launched 'Signia Assistant', a machine learning-based hearing aid control app.

The company explained that Signia Assistant, developed by Signia, learns users' data by itself through machine learning capabilities and provides the most customized hearing experience based on this. A neural network-based machine learning technology that mimics human brain function was applied to a hearing aid control app.

Whenever a hearing aid wearer encounters an uncomfortable listening environment or difficulty in hearing while wearing a hearing aid, SIGNIA Assistant can easily solve the problem by selecting the desired option with a smartphone without having to visit an audiologist every time. Based on the learned data, the user's preferences for each listening situation are customized, helping to hear the clearer sound and understand the clearest speech in any environment.

The company explained that Signia Assistant has greatly increased convenience so that users can manage the entire hearing aid use in real-time through the app without the help of a hearing expert, and it can be used especially in non-face-to-face situations such as these days.

Considering that most of the hearing aid wearers are elderly, the Signia Assistant is configured so that anyone can use it easily without complicated adjustments or difficult knowledge. In addition to the Q&A text-based function, video contents related to hearing aid management and maintenance can be checked immediately.

Signia Assistant can be used through the Signia app and is compatible with hearing aids equipped with a Bluetooth function among Signia X platform-based products. Signia can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for Signia in English.
