Samsung's flagship PCIe 4.0 SSD! 980 PRO 2TB version appeared: 7GB/s

Last September, Samsung released its first PCIe 4.0 consumer SSD980 PRO. Its excellent and stable performance almost won the best title of SSD projects in the major hardware awards that year, and the scenery is boundless.

However, the place where the 980 PRO was released only gave the maximum 1TB capacity, which was somewhat stretched for some users.

The good news is that the 2TB capacity 980 PRO has also appeared in Europe.

Specifically, the product part number is MZ-V8P2T0BW, M.2 2280 form, and PCIe 4.0 x4 channel.

In terms of performance, the fastest continuous read is 7000MB/s, the fastest write is 5000MB/s, the 4K random read is the fastest 1000K IOPS, and the write is the fastest 1000K IOPS.

The main control of 980 PRO is Elpis (S4LV003) specially customized by Samsung for PCIe 4.0 products, 8-channel design, 2GB LPDDR4 memory besides pSLC cache.

The 2TB storage particle is still Samsung's sixth-generation V-NAND (136-layer TLC), with a total written byte of 1200TBW, and can be written 0.3 times a day.

In terms of price, the reference price given in Europe is 400 to 500 euros (about 3154 to 3943 yuan). At present, the price of 1TB 980 PRO is 2199 yuan, 2TB at least doubled, I am afraid it will cost about 4999 yuan.
