RTX 30 game card hides Max-Q! NVIDIA: Encourage labeling of power consumption and frequency

The graphics card of the game is completely NVIDIA GeForce, and like any "monopolist", Lao Huang has played the game again. The latest RTX 30 series is no longer marked with Max-Q and Max-P versions, which means that consumers can no longer easily distinguish whether the gamebook they bought is a full blood version or residual blood version.

In response, NVIDIA issued a statement explaining that Max-Q has not been discarded. In fact, it has evolved to the third generation. It is no longer a simple representation of power consumption but has become a series of technologies. Collection, including dynamic acceleration 2.0, silent mode 2.0, advanced Optimus, Resizable BAR acceleration, DLSS anti-aliasing, etc.

Which of the above mentioned technologies is supported by the gaming notebook, OEM manufacturers can decide by themselves to adjust heat dissipation and noise independently to meet the needs of different gaming notebook designs.

NVIDIA said that it encourages OEMs to mark specific frequencies and power consumption after the graphics card model, but it is only "encouragement" and not a mandatory requirement. Manufacturers are naturally happy to fish in troubled waters.

Examining the currently released RTX 30 games, we can find that most brands, especially first- and second-tier brands, only list the graphics card model in the specification table. There is no way to know the frequency and power consumption, but many small brands are labeled very well. Clearly, because they often use Max-P full blood version, and use this as a selling point.

NVIDIA also claims that consumers can actually easily check the specific graphics power consumption of the RTX 30 gaming notebook, but obviously, you have to buy one first.

According to the official data released by NVIDIA, the power consumption of the RTX 30 series notebook graphics cards Max-Q and Max-P by default vary greatly, but with the help of technologies such as dynamic acceleration 2.0, it can run to the same power consumption level.

RTX 3080, RTX 3070, RTX 3060 Max-P version has the lowest total card power consumption of 115W, 115W, 80W, respectively, Max-Q version has only 80W, 80W, 60W, but through various adjustments and accelerations, they can be achieved. 165W, 140W, 130W, but different notebooks may be very different at what grade.
