Chieftec has expanded its range of computer cases with the CI-02B-OP, a compact desktop system on a Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard.
The novelty is made in a cube format, although the lengths of the edges vary: the dimensions are 390 × 265 × 295 mm. A special mechanism for opening the case is used for easy installation of components.
Provides one external compartment for 5.25 and 3.5-inch devices. Inside there is room for a pair of 3.5-inch drives and three storage devices in a 2.5-inch form factor.
Four expansion slots are available. The limitation on the length of discrete graphics accelerators is 320 mm, the length of the power supply is 160 mm. The front-facing interface block contains two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, headphone, and microphone jacks.
The cooling fans are mounted as follows: 1 × 120/140 mm at the front, 1 × 120 mm at the rear, and 1 × 120/140 mm at the top. The height of the CPU cooler can be up to 160 mm.
"The sleek new design, made from brushed aluminum and mesh for even better airflow into the system, ensures a never-out-of-date style that fits perfectly into the office, home, and any other environment,” says the developer. Sales begin in February; the price is not specified.
