Meanwhile, the company still has not decided on the actual date of the start of sales of the junior Ampere game card (or is not ready to announce) - in this case, it sounds lengthy “end of February".
Recall that this time NVIDIA decided not to release a reference design for the junior Ampere series video card. Instead, the manufacturer entrusted all the worries for the implementation of the novelty to its partners. Nevertheless, the "green" announced the recommended cost of the GeForce RTX 3060, which is $ 329. For Russian retail, the price is stated at 31,800 rubles.
As a rule, non-standard versions of graphics accelerators equipped with proprietary cooling systems have a higher cost relative to their reference versions. Curiously, according to VideoCardz, NVIDIA has recommended that retailers "include in the initial offerings" version of the GeForce RTX 3060 at the stated recommended cost. In other words, there is a possibility that at the start of sales, some versions of the GeForce RTX 3060 will be sold for $ 329. It should be noted that NVIDIA cannot directly influence the prices for video cards from manufacturers and sellers, therefore it is not known whether they will take into account the voiced recommendations.
Early rumors said that various variants of the GeForce RTX 3060 would go on sale on February 22nd. Considering that video cards for reviews will start shipping only on February 19, it will most likely be possible to expect them to appear on store shelves no earlier than a week after that.
