Lumia 950 XL is ported to run Windows 10X: interface UX adaptive, new operation / notification center

Windows Latest reported that Microsoft's vision for the future of Windows is to design an operating system for all form factors, and based on this, it can customize functions for different posture devices according to the software.

This project was originally called the "Andromeda" operating system, and it should focus on mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets. The plan changed in 2018. At that time, Microsoft shelved the idea of focusing on mobile device operating systems and having more cross-platform functions and decided to launch it into a dual-screen Android phone (Surface Duo).

Some work was transferred to other things, and Microsoft began to pay attention to the Windows 10X system based on the modular Windows Core OS.

Prior to this, developers have allowed Surface Pro 7 to successfully run the early build version of Windows 10X. In the latest action, developer Gustave Monce has now successfully ported the Windows 10X operating system to Lumia 950 XL mobile devices - showing how Windows 10X works on small screen devices with touch screens.

Developers can successfully start and run Windows 10X on Lumia 950 XL, thanks to its adaptive user interface UX.

IT Home is informed that, of course, Windows 10X on the mobile phone still needs a lot of repairs, but experiments have confirmed that the software based on the Windows Core OS system can adjust the user interface according to the size and input type of its connection.

The final idea only needs to have a version of the operating system, and its components are fully adaptive so that it can run on any device with almost no modification.

In any case, Windows Core OS is obviously a wise direction for Microsoft, and it can finally make the operating system modular.

According to reports, the first version of Windows 10X and Windows Core OS is mainly for single-screen devices, and Microsoft plans to add dual-screen support next year. Of course, it is too optimistic to expect new Microsoft smartphones running the Windows 10X operating system in 2021.
