Intel and NV are exposed to secret joint restrictions on Ryzen 4000 notebooks using high-end standalone displays

Last year, the Ryzen 4000 series APU processors used for mobile platforms really surprised us. After all, notebooks have always been the weakness of AMD processors.

However, if you look carefully, I wonder if you find that the Ryzen 4000 notebook does not have a very high-end graphics card configuration, at best, it is RTX 2060. On the other hand, Intel 10th generation Core gaming notebooks, RTX 2080/2080 Super abound.

Previously, an OEM explained that the Ryzen 4000 APU only leaves 8x PCIe 3.0 channels for the independent display, and the bandwidth is not enough. The situation that can hit the face is that the Ryzen 5000 is also 8x PCIe 3.0, but it can be used on the RTX 3080 mobile graphics card?

After an investigation by a Polish counterpart, I learned from an anonymous OEM that the trick is that Intel and NVIDIA seem to have reached an internal agreement that only allows the 10th generation Core to be paired with the high-end NVIDIA exclusive display.

Since AMD is doing both CPU and graphics cards at the same time, it is the common "enemy" of Intel and NVIDIA. In the past two years, it has become more and more prosperous, and it seems quite similar.

But VCZ also said that they believe that the revelations of their Polish counterparts do not have very reliable evidence. It is not ruled out that it is speculation or enthusiasm. It is good for everyone to understand it temporarily, and it does not need to be true.
