In Mali, aircraft bombed at a wedding location: at least 20 people were killed

In Mali, an unidentified military plane bombed the village of Bunti near the city of Duenza, killing at least 20 civilians, reports citing local media.

The incident reportedly took place on Monday night. The participants in the wedding ceremony were bombed. The EFE agency, citing local mayor Adama Griaba, reports that one hundred people were killed in the raid and dozens were injured.

As suggested by the media, this is probably a mistake of military pilots. The Malian Air Force, the French military conducting Operation Barkhan, and peacekeepers from the UN mission (MINUSMA) have military aviation in the country.
