Huawei Wang Chenglu demonstrates Hongmeng OS: Wireless interconnection is more convenient, and it is expected to land on mobile phones this year

At the Huawei Pollen Annual Conference held today, Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei's Consumer Business Software Department, introduced the progress of HarmonyOS (Hongmeng OS), and invited his partners to interact on the spot, and demonstrated four functions. Wang Chenglu said that one of the most important innovations of Hongmeng OS lies in the replacement of traditional hardware by wireless connection, which can achieve functional differentiation. He also said earlier that Hongmeng OS will cover 300-400 million devices this year. At the conference site, two engineering machines equipped with Hongmeng OS were used for demonstration to interact with ovens and smart TVs.

The first function demonstrated is the smart oven connection. The mobile phone only needs to touch the NFC tag to pop up the oven control interface. The mobile phone automatically displays all the control buttons of the oven and supports displaying online recipes. The production of Yakitori was demonstrated at the same time.

The second demonstration is to share the JD shopping cart function. When a user opens the JD App and touches another mobile phone, the same shopping interface pops up on the second device, and it supports operations without installing the App. The two support a shared shopping cart, which is convenient for ordering.

The third function is live video projection. Connect your mobile phone and Huawei Smart TV to the same network, click the red share button on the App interface to connect to the TV. At this time, not only the live content will be displayed, but also the comment and shopping interface will automatically appear on the left and right sides of the TV, which is very convenient.

When playing Youku's 360 panoramic videos, the mobile phone automatically displays the control interface after the screen is cast, and you can control the camera position of the stage video on the mobile phone.

It is learned that the fourth item is the multi-person conference function. Wang Chenglu said that previous video conferences had pain points that were unstable, unclear, unremembered, and unable to keep up. A mobile phone equipped with Hongmeng OS combined with a smart TV can perfectly solve these problems.

Wang Chenglu also said that 2021 is the first year of the Hongmeng OS launch. At present, Huawei smart screen TVs are equipped with Hongmeng OS, and developers have also received the Hongmeng OS 2.0 push on mobile phones. Wang Chenglu said that the Hongmeng system can be opened to third-party developers, and it is expected that Hongmeng OS will be officially equipped on Huawei mobile phones this year.
