Hitman 3 will reduce the size of trilogy files to 100 GB and update the graphics of past games

Apparently, with Hitman 3, the developers of IO Interactive decided not only to add a ton of new content but also to optimize the previous games in the series. Relatively speaking, since the kit will still take up a lot of storage space.

In a thread on  ResetEra,  one of the developers said that Hitman 3 will reduce the total weight of the trilogy to 100GB. This applies to both the games themselves and additional content. This became possible thanks to improved data management and removal of duplicate files. Also, new techniques are used for texture compression.

In addition, the first Hitman and Hitman 2 will receive graphics improvements. The new version of the engine supports improved reflections and works with many surfaces in past games.

Hitman 3 is out on January 20th. In parallel with this, the IOI studio is developing a new spy project dedicated to agent 007.
