Gigabyte unexpectedly updated the Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Master graphics card

Gigabyte already had the Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Master video card, and now there is a second one with the same name. The first is now called Aorus RTX 3080 Master Revision 1.0, and the second, respectively, Aorus RTX 3080 Master Revision 2.0. What is the difference between the first and the second?

Virtually nothing: the design, cooling system, frequencies and a set of video outputs have been preserved. What has changed then? Aorus RTX 3080 Master Revision 2.0 has one more eight-pin connector for additional power supply - it has become the third. In general, 375 W is enough for the GeForce RTX 3080 (this is how much the two eight-pin connectors and the PCIe interface provide), but some manufacturers have already been able to raise the TDP of selected versions of the GeForce RTX 3080 to 400 W and higher. It is possible that Gigabyte will do the same with the next firmware update.

It is not yet clear whether one version of the model is a replacement for another, so in the event of purchase (if, of course, such an opportunity presents itself), you must definitely pay attention to the revised version.
