Network sources have shared information about the first prices for various versions of the GeForce RTX 3060. Recall that the card does not have a reference design. In other words, it will not work to buy it through the official NVIDIA store, and partners of NVIDIA will be engaged in its implementation in the form of various options with their cooling systems.
Limited stocks, mining rush, and higher import tariffs in the United States have had a major impact on the pricing of graphics cards. And although the GeForce RTX 30-series and Radeon RX 6000 models are gradually starting to appear on sale at various retailers, their cost in some cases still turns out to be two, or even two and a half times higher than the initially announced recommended prices.
It looks like the situation with the GeForce RTX 3060 model, built on the basis of the GA106 GPU, will be no exception. The card is likely to be in short supply. According to the resource VideoCardz, the new product cannot be pre-ordered. Most retailers indicate that the video card will be "on sale soon" or "not yet available." And yet, information on prices for some versions of the GeForce RTX 3060 from ASUS, Gigabyte and Palit was found from the British seller CCL Computers, who indicates that there will be a very limited number of new graphics accelerators.
The most affordable version of the GeForce RTX 3060 performed by ASUS TUF Gaming is estimated by the British seller at almost 470 pounds (almost 48 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate). For most of the other models, the manufacturer has stated a price of 500 British pounds (more than 50 thousand rubles). The most expensive option is the Strix model, which is priced at 516 pounds (more than 52 thousand rubles). Thus, the novelty is up to 200 British pounds more expensive than the GeForce RTX 2060 models based on the Turing architecture.
Whether these prices are official is unknown. They were found not on the product page, but in a roundabout way, through the information block of the site "similar products". Considering the orgy that has been observed with other GeForce RTX 30 series video cards for several months now, we will not be surprised that the final prices for the GeForce RTX 3060 will be the same or even higher.
