Filming of the sequel to "Rescue Operations" will begin in the fall

A sequel to the action movie "Operation Rescue" is in development. Chris Hemsworth should return to the title role. Unfortunately, it is not yet known what the sequel will be about. Filming will begin in the fall unless the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic intervenes.

Sam Hargrave will again be directed. He commented on the situation with the film to Collider:

We are moving towards the start of production, like shooting in the fall. Joe Russo is finalizing the script and we all can't wait to read it. I'm very interested in what he comes up with.

We look forward to returning to filming and hopefully making another action-packed adventure in this universe.

The film, which has become the most popular Netflix original, is based on the graphic novel Ciudad, which was written by Anthony and Joe Russo, co-written with Anda Parks, and illustrated by Fernando Leon Gonzalez. They are going to make a full-fledged cinematic universe out of the film.
