Details and first footage of the film adaptation of Mortal Kombat

The American magazine Entertainment Weekly shared some details of the Mortal Kombat film, and also showed the first stills from the film.

The director of the tape, Simon McQuoid, said that the first ten minutes of the film will unfold in feudal Japan at a time when Sub-Zero and Scorpio did not yet possess their abilities. The scene ends with a fierce battle between the two fighters. It is noteworthy that during this period the creators of the tape will try to tell the whole story of the enmity of the two clans, which include Sub-Zero and Scorpio.

The director also focused on kunai - the main weapon of the Scorpion. According to him, Hanzo Hasashi used the tool exclusively for domestic needs. For example, he cut the grass for them.

The plot will focus on the fighter Cole Young, who wears the mark of a dragon on his chest. Young is sent in search of Sub-Zero, but he realizes that he cannot cope with the mighty warrior alone. Cole will search for Sonya Blade and stumble upon Raiden's temple. In it, the hero will meet Kung Lao, the mercenary Kano and Liu Kang. The characters will join forces to fight evil.

McQuoid himself compares the film to a family drama because the film will put a lot of emphasis on family relationships. Of course, it will not do without bloody battles.
