Studio CD Projekt RED has published another picture with a yellow background. This time, the Cyberpunk 2077 developers talked about their plans for 2021. First of all, they will work on fixing bugs and releasing free DLCs. In addition, CD Projekt RED has answered questions of interest to players since the release.

CD Projekt RED co-founder Marcin Ivinski discussed the reasons why the console version of Cyberpunk 2077 is so problematic. According to him, the point is the huge scale of the game and the low disk bandwidth on older systems. At the same time, the main version of the project is a PC, which then CD Projekt RED adjusted to the weak hardware of the 2013 consoles. In addition, the situation was complicated by the pandemic, due to which the work process was greatly slowed down.

In addition, CD Projekt RED simply did not notice during testing a lot of problems with console versions that players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 faced. At the same time, Ivinsky said that the team saw improvements in the quality of the project every day as the release approached. For the same reason, reporters were later sent the keys to review the console version.

But most importantly, the first update will be released in the next 10 days, with many bug fixes and glitches that players are experiencing on all platforms. A few weeks after it, a second major patch will be released - even more significant. There are also free add-ons in development, but it is not yet known when they will be released. But CD Projekt RED said that the Cyberpunk 2077 update to the Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 consoles will be released in the second half of the year.

Finally, Ivinsky touched on the return of Cyberpunk 2077 to the PlayStation Store. The studio is working with Sony Interactive Entertainment to make this happen as soon as possible, he said.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020, on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. On consoles of the new generation, the game is still running on backward compatibility.
